Did
not expect the course to be so good. Helped my French a lot. Lots to
talk about. Very good oral GCSE practice, under pressure. I
would do it again!! Gained confidence. Won't forget what I've
learnt." (GCSE student from Kent)

skills with a native French speaker in a unique one-to-one
situation.
Your
tutor, Catherine, worked as a GCSE Examiner for the AQA examining board
in England for many years, assessing papers for the
current French GCSE specification. She
has
also worked as a full-time French teacher in secondary schools
and taught French to adults at night school.
Class
sizes are kept small to allow for
individual
support and guidance.
"Was
an exceptional course, greatly improved my skills in the
language and helped me gain confidence in my linguistic
skills. Very friendly, helpful family. I wont forget any
of what was taught over the weekend." (GCSE student from
Kent).
The
course fees include the price of accommodation, breakfast,
lunch and refreshments. There are various options available
for the evening meal, such as self catering or eating out at a
local restaurant (transport provided).
Teenage
Students
Parents
are very welcome to accompany teenage students and family
accommodation can be provided. Teenagers travelling
independently are supervised from the airport at arrival, throughout
the course, until their return to the airport.
One-to-One
with a Native French Speaker
During
the
course, you will have the opportunity of a
one-to-one with a native French speaker with no English ability. The experience will allow you to really practise
your French conversation in a real situation.
English
teenage students are always paired with a French teenager and
the conversation is very informal and often continues over
lunch. Also, in the evening, we often arrange for French
teenagers to come to the restaurant and join you for the meal,
to encourage even more French conversation.
"The
opportunity to have a one-to-one conversation with a local
resident was extremely enjoyable and a real boost to my
confidence." (C,
from Worcester)
